The Panyaden Advisory Board (PAB) is composed of five experienced professionals, including an elected Chair, who provide strategic guidance to the school's founder and executive leadership team. While not directly involved in operations, the board offers expert recommendations in recruitment, staffing, operations, finance, and long-term strategy, all grounded in Panyaden’s core values of Buddhist wisdom, environmental sustainability, and academic excellence. Their diverse insights support the school’s continued growth and its commitment to delivering an exceptional educational experience.

The PAB will consist of advisors with expertise in marketing, governance, education, finance and operational efficiency and with reputations to help build the image and foundation of greater future success. The PAB will have a chair who is elected by the board members.

Oliver Gritz
Oliver Gritz
Chairman
Oliver Gritz, a German business strategist and social entrepreneur, brings over 25 years of global leadership experience. Educated in Transport & Logistics, Business Economics, and holding an Executive MBA from IMD Lausanne, he has served as CFO/EVP at DHL Express and led European operations at Southern Air. Since 2010, he has founded and guided ventures including COG Skill Pool GmbH, Ontegos Cloud, and the charity Run & Ride for Reading. Deeply committed to nurturing human potential, Oliver is passionate about children’s learning and equitable education, believing that empowering young minds is key to a sustainable and compassionate future.
Erich Erber
Prof. Erich Erber
Board Member
Founder and President of SAN Group, Prof. Erich Erber, leads a global biotechnology company focused on sustainability in biotech, renewable energy, and real estate. As a Panyaden shareholder, he initiated the Fresh Air System in 2019 to improve learning conditions. Raised on a farm in Austria, he has long championed environmental stewardship. In 2021, he received the honorary title of "Professor" from the Austrian President for his scientific contributions in probiotics and mycotoxins.

Greg Smith is Vice President for Asia Pacific at International Schools Services (ISS), a leading non-profit supporting international education. He has held senior leadership roles in China, Laos, and Australia, including Head of School at Shekou International School, and brings a background as a teacher, principal, curriculum director, and superintendent. Greg holds a Master’s in Educational Administration and co-founded Schrole, an innovative global recruitment platform for international educators.

Piyapa Erber is Managing Director of SAN Group Biotech (Singapore and Thailand) and Chair of the Erber Family Foundation, which supports high-quality education and safe homes for underprivileged Thai children. She combines her leadership in global biotech with deep personal experience as a mother of an IB graduate, offering unique insight into both the education system and community engagement.
Lamorna Cheesman

Lamorna Cheesman, General Manager of Studio Naenna, brings a unique bicultural perspective to the PAB as someone raised in Chiang Mai and educated in both Thai and international schools. A Panyaden parent and advocate for sustainable arts, she studied in Sydney before returning to work in the family’s handwoven textile business. Fluent in Thai and English, Lamorna bridges cultural gaps in her professional and personal life, connecting artisans, customers, and creative communities.
Romsai Tandakoseya

Romsai Tandakoseya is a banking executive currently leading Corporate & Institutional Credit Risk at Standard Chartered Bank (Thai) PCL. With over 22 years of experience, he has shaped risk frameworks, managed complex credit portfolios, and championed sustainability funds. His leadership roles—including EVP at Kiatnakin Phatra and CEO of PP Prime—reflect his strength in strategic planning, risk oversight, and financial stewardship, aligning closely with Panyaden’s goals for sustainable growth.

Thomas Tieber

Thomas Tieber, the former Chair of the Panyaden Advisory Board, passed away in February 2025, leaving a profound legacy within our school community. A passionate advocate for education and children’s welfare, Thomas combined sharp business insight with deep compassion, guiding Panyaden’s strategic vision.

For 17 years, he supported educational initiatives in Northeastern Thailand, embodying our values of service, wisdom, and excellence. His impact continues to inspire and guide our mission.
