Pran Indhapan
(Khun Nuchie)
School Director
Khun Nuchie has been a driving force behind Panyaden International School since its founding in 2010. With a clear vision and steadfast commitment, she has played a pivotal role in shaping a values-based learning environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Under her leadership, Panyaden has become a school community known for its integration of Buddhist principles, academic excellence, environmental mindfulness, and holistic well-being.
Grounded in a strong belief in Buddhist education, experiential learning, and community connection, Khun Nuchie has nurtured Panyaden into a school of choice—one where students are guided to become compassionate global citizens who contribute positively to the world around them. Her leadership empowers a passionate and skilled teaching and support staff team, dynamic extracurricular programmes, and strong partnerships with families.
She holds two postgraduate degrees: a Master of Education Management from Western University and a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of New South Wales. These academic foundations reflect her dedication to educational leadership and global understanding, shaping her inclusive and strategic approach.
In addition to her role at Panyaden, Khun Nuchie serves the broader education community as Vice President of the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT) and Co-Chair of its Communications and Development Sub-Committee. In this capacity, she works collaboratively with school leaders nationwide to strengthen the voice and impact of international education in Thailand.
Pete Corcoran
(Kru Pete)
Head of School
For the first 25 years of his career, Kru Pete worked as a high school teacher and administrator in British Columbia, Canada. His first international posting was as a high school principal, then Head of School at Seoul International School in South Korea. Following this, he served as the founding Executive Director for Qatar Foundation Schools and then as Head of School at the Canadian International School in Singapore and Vietnam.
His professional interests include research on effective teaching and learning, the continuous school improvement cycle, and bilingual education. As a parent and an educator, he understands the powerful impact outstanding teachers have on the daily lives of our students. He is committed to supporting the delivery of outstanding learning with exceptional care and support.
Kathryn Mills
(Kru Kathryn)
Primary School Principal
Kru Kathryn is a passionate and dedicated educator whose leadership is rooted in collaboration, compassion, and creativity. With a strong belief in the power of education to shape both the heart and mind, she is committed to nurturing learning environments that support academic achievement while fostering emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and personal growth.
Her educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that every child is capable of learning—each in their own unique way and at their own pace. She places high value on creating inclusive, student-centred classrooms where all learners feel safe, supported, and empowered to take ownership of their growth.
With extensive international experience as an instructional coach, mentor, and program leader, Kru Kathryn has successfully led inquiry-based curriculum design, championed sustainability initiatives, and cultivated school communities that reflect mutual respect and shared purpose. She actively seeks out opportunities to collaborate with colleagues, students, and families, believing that strong relationships are the foundation of impactful learning.

Daiju Vithayathil
(Kru Daiju)
Secondary School Principal
Kru Daiju has been an educator for over 24 years, teaching Social Studies, Business and Management, Economics, and Theory of Knowledge in leading international schools across Beijing, Bangalore, Tokyo, Shenzhen and Manila. His global experience has shaped a reflective, student-centered approach to teaching and leadership.
A trained instructional coach, Daiju has worked closely with teachers to enhance their practice, build confidence, and grow professionally, many of whom have gone on to take on leadership roles themselves. He is committed to cultivating professional learning cultures that support both individual growth and collective efficacy.
Daiju is an active member of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Educator Network, serving as a workshop leader and examiner for Business and Management and Extended Essays. He has been invited to present at various conferences on topics such as pedagogy, Artificial Intelligence in education, and Strategic Emotional Intelligence (SEQ).
Throughout his career, Daiju has taken on a variety of leadership roles and chaired numerous school-wide initiatives, including IB coordination, technology integration, and strategic planning. He is known for fostering collaboration and aligning school improvement efforts with a clear purpose and shared values.
At the heart of his educational philosophy is a belief that all children can learn, each in their own way and at their own pace. He values a positive, inclusive environment built on open communication and strong relationships among staff, students, and families. He believes teamwork is key to helping every learner reach their full potential.
Valaya Dipongam
(Khun Tumm)
Administration Director and School Manager
Prior to joining Panyaden, Valaya had over 10 years of experience as a Business Development and Legal Consultant. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Thammasat University and a Master of Laws in Corporate Law from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, New York.
She first joined Panyaden in 2013 during a short break from her legal career in New York. In 2024, she returned as Administration Director after establishing a stable business base for her family.
Valaya values the Panyaden philosophy, which she believes has helped her grow as a person. She views the school’s mission as not only preparing students for the future but also supporting the development of every employee and parent in the community.
As Administration Director and School Manager, she leads and oversees all daily support operations of the school. Her responsibilities include purchasing, maintenance, IT, catering, housekeeping, and Human Resources, ensuring these essential functions run smoothly in support of the school’s mission.

Kru Jackie is an experienced international educator, school leader, and mother of two, whose passion lies in bringing together learning and well-being.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Graduate Diploma in Special Needs, and is currently working on an Executive Master's degree in International Educational Leadership and Change. Kru Jackie’s professional experience spans roles such as curriculum consultant, EAL and literacy workshop leader, Philosophy for Children facilitator, forest school leader, mindfulness teacher, pastoral care counsellor, and teacher-blogger.
Originally from the United States, Kru Jackie has lived and worked in many countries including England, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, Indonesia, China, Canada, and now Thailand—bringing with her a truly global perspective.
Kru Jackie believes strongly in the power of connection to nurture confident, curious, and compassionate lifelong learners who follow their passions to make a positive difference in the world. In her teaching, Jackie helps children connect with each other, with nature, and with themselves, fostering purpose, motivation, and joy in their learning journeys.
Fluent in both English and Italian, Kru Jackie is also learning French and Thai. Outside the classroom, she enjoys gardening, baking, and adventuring outdoors with her family and friends.

Kru Pond brings over 23 years of rich teaching experience across a variety of settings—from kindergarten and primary schools to vocational education and university levels, both in Thailand and internationally. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Chiang Mai University, grounding her work in a strong academic foundation.
What truly sets Kru Pond apart is her heartfelt commitment to nurturing the whole child. She believes that education should support not only academic growth but also the social and emotional development that builds self-confidence, self-discipline, and compassion for others and the environment. She sees these qualities as essential for helping children thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Kru Pond’s passion for Buddhist Education complements her personal interests in baking and healthy painting, providing her with meaningful ways to encourage mindfulness and joy. Kindergarten 1 Fireflies Homeroom Teacher
Kru Britt brings 12 years of international teaching experience to her classroom, having worked with children from infancy to Grade 3 in places as diverse as New York, New Zealand, Benin, France, South Korea, Vietnam, and Germany. She holds degrees in Childhood Education and Communication Studies from the State University of New York at Oswego.
At the heart of her teaching is a deep belief in creating a nurturing, joyful environment where young learners feel safe, inspired, and excited to grow. Kru Britt loves guiding children through the early years—helping them build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Outside the classroom, she has coached dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading, always encouraging teamwork and self-expression through movement. Now in Chiang Mai for the first time, she’s thrilled to explore the area with her husband and young son and connect with the local community.

Originally from Hungary, Kru Laura spent most of her life in Ecuador, where her passion for education first took root. She holds a Master’s in Special Education from the Universidad de La Rioja in Spain and has over a decade of experience in international schools. Her teaching journey began at the American School of Quito, where she moved from a Primary Teaching Assistant role into Early Years teaching, a stage she continues to love deeply.
Now in her fourth year in Thailand, Kru Laura is excited to continue her journey at Panyaden, a school that beautifully reflects her values and child-centered approach. She brings warmth, inclusivity, and creativity to the classroom, encouraging young children to explore, express themselves, and grow with confidence.

Kru Mint brings more than 20 years of teaching experience in both private and international schools, along with a deep passion for supporting children’s growth in every aspect of their development. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Chiang Mai Rajabhat University and is dedicated to helping each child discover their unique strengths and reach their full potential.
In her classroom, Kru Mint values the importance of honoring individual differences and uses a variety of creative learning strategies to engage children in meaningful ways. Her approach is grounded in Conscious Discipline, child development principles, and Panyaden’s 12 Wise Habits, which together create a caring and well-structured learning environment.

Alexis Egan

Kindergarten 1 Butterflies Homeroom Teacher
Kru Alexis brings over 11 years of Early Years teaching experience from around the world, having worked with young learners in Qatar, China, and Angola. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bryn Mawr College, with a focus on educational psychology and symbolic thought, as well as a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from Towson University.
Her passion lies in creating nurturing, play-based learning environments where children feel safe, valued, and free to follow their natural curiosity. Alexis believes that early childhood is a magical time for exploration, and she strives to build classrooms filled with wonder, discovery, and joy. She has a special interest in early literacy, sensory play, and the art of storytelling to build connection and understanding.
Nature is also an essential part of her approach, both as a setting and a co-teacher which offers children space to grow, observe and learn in meaningful ways.

Kru Jeab brings over 22 years of dedicated experience working with kindergarten children, making her a cherished part of the Panyaden community since its opening in 2011. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from Ramkhamhaeng University, along with a professional teaching license.
Her teaching philosophy centers around the belief that art, music, and movement are essential tools for young learners. Kru Jeab passionately integrates these creative activities into her lessons, knowing they nurture children’s emotional, social, and cognitive growth in meaningful ways. She understands that early childhood is a crucial time for exploration, expression, and building confidence.

Kindergarten 2 Busy Ants Homeroom Teacher
With over 20 years of teaching experience, 17 of those in Early Years, Kru Kevin has dedicated most of his career in Thailand to nurturing young learners through play-based, child-led approaches. Now in his fourth year at Panyaden, he brings deep expertise and a heartfelt passion for fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence in early childhood education.
Before joining Panyaden, he served as Deputy Head of Early Years at the Singapore International School of Bangkok, supporting teams in creating high-quality, holistic learning environments. Kevin strongly believes that play is the foundation of all learning. Through open-ended exploration and imaginative play, children develop critical thinking, resilience, and a lifelong love of discovery.
As a qualified Forest School Leader, he’s also a passionate advocate for outdoor education. Whether it’s woodland walks, mud kitchens, or group challenges under the trees, he sees nature as a powerful co-teacher.

Kru R holds a Bachelor’s degree in Thai Language from Payap University and a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Chiang Mai University. She joined the Panyaden community in 2019, bringing with her 15 years of experience in education, including working closely with Early Years students.
Before Panyaden, Kru R worked as a Primary and Secondary School Thai Teacher and later led the Thai Department at a top international school in Chiang Mai. She guided and mentored Thai teachers to improve their skills, aiming to provide students with engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Her teaching approach focuses on fostering curiosity, encouraging creativity, and nurturing a lifelong passion for learning.
At Panyaden, as a Thai Homeroom Teacher, Kru R continues to apply her expertise. Her experience with Early Years students has strengthened her ability to design lessons that meet the developmental needs of young learners, helping them build a strong foundation in both academics and character. With her academic background, leadership experience, and dedication to education, Kru R remains passionate about shaping meaningful learning journeys for both students and teachers within the Panyaden community.

Kindergarten 2 Honey Bees Homeroom Teacher
The adventure and joy of international teaching have taken Kru Anna from her home in the Philippines to classrooms in Venezuela, China, Qatar, Colombia, Singapore, and now Thailand.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in International Teaching, Anna has dedicated most of her professional life to nurturing young children in the Early Years. She feels truly fulfilled being part of each child’s educational journey, and she treasures the many ways her students inspire her with their curiosity, creativity, and unique perspectives.
Kru Anna believes in creating a warm, joyful, and supportive learning environment where children feel safe to explore, discover, and grow at their own pace. She is passionate about helping children develop not only academic skills but also the confidence, kindness, and independence that will serve them throughout life.
Outside the classroom, Anna enjoys hiking, surfing, skating, reading, making her own kombucha, and connecting with her family and friends.

Kru Neung brings 17 years of teaching experience, with a background that spans both the United States and Bangkok. Since joining Panyaden, she has become a valued member of our community, sharing her warmth, energy, and dedication to supporting children’s growth—both academically and spiritually.
Neung believes that a strong foundation in values is essential for helping children grow into happy, confident, and responsible individuals. She is especially passionate about guiding young learners in developing self-regulation, cultivating inner values, and experiencing the joy of learning. For her, the early years are a special time when these qualities first begin to take shape, and she feels honored to be part of that journey with each child.

Year 1 Ladybirds Homeroom Teacher
Kru Melanie was born and raised in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California, where her love for learning and exploration began. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and went on to complete a Master’s degree in the Arts of Teaching from the University of San Francisco. Melanie’s teaching journey started at a Chinese bilingual kindergarten in her hometown, where she spent six wonderful years nurturing young learners in a culturally rich and dynamic environment.
Driven by a deep passion for travel and new experiences, Kru Melanie expanded her horizons internationally, moving to Kuwait. There, she taught second grade for three years before embracing a new challenge as an instructional coach, supporting fellow educators to grow and thrive. Her teaching philosophy centers around the belief that learning has no limits, that children flourish when encouraged to explore, create, and unlock their fullest potential within a caring and supportive classroom.
Now, Kru Melanie is excited to begin her new chapter in Chiang Mai and is thrilled to join the Panyaden community. Outside the classroom, she loves hiking with her dog, rock climbing, and seeking out new adventures that inspire her curiosity and zest for life.

Year 1 Ladybirds Homeroom Teacher
Kru Dokmai holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with Honours and a Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Chulalongkorn University. With a deep passion for nurturing young minds, she began her career as a primary-level Thai teacher and coordinator at an international school in Bangkok, where she worked for over ten years.
As one of the founding teachers of Panyaden International School, Kru Dokmai has played a vital role in shaping the school’s unique and nurturing learning environment. Over the years, she has taken on many responsibilities, including serving as Thai Coordinator and teaching Thai language to both Thai and international students. Currently, she is the Year 1 homeroom teacher as well as the Thai Primary Coordinator, where she continues to inspire and support her students and colleagues with warmth and dedication.
Outside of school, Kru Dokmai treasures the time she spends with her two daughters, finding joy in family life. She also has a love for cooking and gardening, where she channels her creativity and patience. Kru Dokmai believes that education is a journey of discovery and growth, and she feels truly grateful to be part of her students’ learning adventures every day.
Garam Kim

Year 1 Dragonflies Homeroom Teacher
Kru Garam is a passionate and caring Primary Years educator from South Korea, bringing with her a wealth of experience from the UK, Korea, and now Thailand. She began her teaching journey in London, where she developed a strong foundation in early childhood education. Afterward, Kru Garam worked as a children’s book editor in Korea—a role that deepened her love for storytelling and early literacy, and inspired her to return to the classroom with renewed enthusiasm.
Now in her eighth year living and teaching in Thailand, Kru Garam has embraced the country’s rich culture, Buddhism, and meditation practices. These interests have shaped her calm, mindful, and compassionate approach to teaching, allowing her to create warm and nurturing learning environments. She is dedicated to fostering inclusive, play-based classrooms where every child feels seen, valued, and encouraged to be curious.

With more than 14 years of teaching experience, Kru Pia is a passionate and dedicated educator who deeply loves both teaching and learning. She believes that children do well when they are able, and sees her role as supporting and nurturing the skills they are still developing.
Kru Pia has extensive experience working with neurodivergent children and is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Mindfulness is at the heart of her teaching practice, helping children build emotional awareness, focus, and resilience in their daily lives.
Her teaching is strongly influenced by Buddhist values, which guide not only her classroom practice but also how she lives and interacts with others. Believing that children learn best by observing the actions of adults, Kru Pia strives to lead by example—demonstrating kindness, patience, compassion, and integrity both inside and outside the classroom.
Mackenzie Maetche

Year 2 Grasshoppers Homeroom Teacher
Originally from a small town in the Rocky Mountains of Canada, Kru Kenzie earned her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta, specialising in Primary Education. She began her teaching journey at an outdoor kindergarten, where she discovered her passion for connecting children with nature and creating hands-on, meaningful learning experiences.
For the past seven years, Kru Kenzie has called Chiang Mai home, continuing to develop her holistic and inquiry-based teaching approach. She is especially passionate about early literacy, supporting children as budding readers and writers, and loves weaving mindfulness and emotional awareness into daily routines. Her interest in child psychology helps her tailor learning experiences that support the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.
In the classroom, Kru Kenzie strives to create a calm, nurturing space where children feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and explore their world with confidence and curiosity.
Outside of school, she enjoys yoga, crafting, and spending time outdoors—whether hiking in the mountains or chasing waterfalls with friends and family.
Tamisa Wiboonkiat

Year 2 Grasshoppers Homeroom Teacher
Kru Jang brings over 27 years of teaching experience, holding a Bachelor of Arts in English from Khon Kaen University and a Master of Education from Sukhothai Thammathirat University. Throughout her career in Chiang Mai, she has developed a deep passion for helping students fall in love with language and learning. As a former Head of the English Programme, she has extensive expertise in English and bilingual education. Kru Jang also enhanced her skills by completing EAL (English as an Additional Language) courses in Melbourne, Australia, which broadened her teaching approach and perspective.
What truly drew her to Panyaden is the school’s unique blend of academic excellence, Buddhist values, and respect for sustainability. She believes education should nurture not only young minds but also kind, responsible hearts. In her classroom, every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Outside the classroom, Kru Jang loves travelling and expressing creativity through crafts. She hopes to inspire her students to embrace learning—and life—with curiosity, kindness, and confidence.

Kru Melissa chose the path of education because she believes it is one of the most powerful ways to make a positive difference in the world. Guided by the belief that today’s children hold the key to shaping a brighter tomorrow, she is dedicated to nurturing curiosity, kindness, and a love of learning in every student.
With a strong background in primary education, Kru Melissa holds an iPGCE from the University of East London as well as a postgraduate degree in Social Responsibility and Development. She is passionate about creating classrooms that are not only engaging and inclusive but also filled with joy and a sense of belonging. Drawing on her experience with inquiry-based learning and her commitment to student well-being through Conscious Discipline, she helps children feel safe, supported, and confident as they explore and grow.
Born and raised in Colombia, Kru Melissa brings warmth, openness, and a global perspective to her teaching. Her time teaching in India further deepened her cultural understanding and sensitivity, which she weaves into her classroom practice to help students develop as caring, globally minded citizens.

Kru Yok holds a Bachelor of Education with first-class honors in Elementary Education, reflecting her deep passion and commitment to teaching. Over the past three years at Panyaden, she has brought warmth, energy, and dedication to every child’s learning journey, making a positive impact on students and colleagues alike. Her participation in programs like the Thailand & Singapore Virtual Tour and the Carleton Thai Buddy Programme has broadened her global perspective, helping her connect meaningfully with learners from diverse backgrounds.
Kru Yok believes every child is unique, with a natural ability to learn and grow. She creates a safe, welcoming classroom where children feel encouraged to take risks, ask questions, and explore with confidence. Watching her students blossom, gaining new skills and joy in learning, is her greatest reward.
Outside school, Kru Yok enjoys exploring new restaurants, playing badminton, and relaxing with novels. These interests keep her balanced and inspire her teaching. Year 3 Sea Turtles Homeroom Teacher
Kru Bori’s career reflects her deep commitment to education, environmental sustainability, and the well-being of the global citizens our students are becoming. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Fine Art from the UK, as well as a PGCE from the University of Sunderland. Her teaching journey began at an international school in Budapest, where she gained experience across both Key Stages 1 and 2.
Born in Hungary, Kru Bori spent much of her childhood in Asia—an experience that shaped her worldview and continues to influence her approach in the classroom. As a homeroom teacher, she is passionate about fostering student well-being and self-awareness, creating conditions for meaningful learning and academic growth in diverse, international settings.
Motivated to return to South East Asia, she moved to Yangon, Myanmar, where she taught in a British international school and served as eco-coordinator, helping the school work towards green accreditation. In 2021, she returned to Hungary to join a sustainability-focused international school. Alongside teaching, she worked with the Jane Goodall Institute in Budapest to lead the Roots & Shoots programme, encouraging environmental action among young learners.
Now based in Chiang Mai, she continues to integrate sustainability, wellbeing, and a global perspective into her teaching practice. Outside the classroom, she enjoys being creative through dance and art, and also finds inspiration in yoga, travelling, and reading.

Kru Tarn graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Thai Language from Chiang Mai Teacher’s College (now Chiang Mai Rajabhat University) and later earned her Master's degree in Teaching Thai from the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University. Her exceptional dedication to the field was recognized when her thesis and independent research were selected among the outstanding works by the Faculty—an achievement that reflects her deep commitment to lifelong learning and using her knowledge and experience to benefit her students.
With over 30 years of teaching experience across primary, secondary and university levels, Kru Tarn brings a depth of wisdom and compassion to her teaching. Her approach to education is rooted in the belief that children thrive when learning is joyful, meaningful and connected to their lives. She integrates Thai language learning with literature, nature and creative expression, especially poetry, making learning both beautiful and memorable for her students. Kru Tarn values the inner development of each child and creates a learning environment where students feel safe to explore, express themselves and grow in both knowledge and character.

Kru Adam is a British educator with a background in International Relations (MSci, University of Nottingham) and a PGCE from University College London, completed through the Teach First Leadership Development Programme. His path into education began while working with a children’s rights charity in Ghana, where a spontaneous teaching opportunity sparked a lifelong passion for working with young learners.
Before joining Panyaden, Kru Adam taught for four years at an international school in Colombia. He brings experience from diverse educational contexts and is committed to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and compassion in the classroom.
In addition to teaching Year 3, Kru Adam serves as Panyaden’s Service Learning and Sustainability Coach, supporting students and staff to connect learning with meaningful action. He empowers children to see themselves as changemakers who can address real-world challenges, from climate action to community wellbeing. Through frameworks like Design for Change, he helps students develop their voice, collaborate with purpose, and take informed action.

Kru Namphung graduated with honours from Chiang Mai University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology. After completing her studies, she gained valuable experience working at the Research Institute for Health Sciences at Chiang Mai University, where she developed strong skills in research and collaboration. These experiences deepened her understanding of people, communities, and the importance of creating supportive environments—an understanding she now brings into her teaching practice.

Kru Don comes from San Jose, California. After many years working in Silicon Valley, he joined the US Peace Corps and served as a health volunteer in Niger. This formative experience sparked a lifelong dedication to education across cultures. Since then, Kru Don has lived and worked in five West African countries, as well as South Korea, and now Thailand for the second time.
With over a decade of experience as an upper primary homeroom teacher and a varied professional background, Kru Don brings real-world context to his teaching. He draws on diverse experiences to spark curiosity and deepen understanding in the classroom.
His professional interests include reading development, project-based learning, and educational philosophy. Committed to deep reading as a foundation for learning, Kru Don believes in the power of books to shape thinking and connect students to the human story. He is also passionate about student agency, encouraging learners to ask meaningful questions and engage with real-world challenges.

Kru Frame holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with First Class Honours, majoring in Thai Language. A highlight of her academic journey was spending time as an exchange student in Japan, which broadened her horizons and deepened her love for teaching. This experience helped her appreciate different cultures and teaching styles, enriching how she connects with her students today.
Currently, Kru Frame is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education focused on Psychological Studies at Chiang Mai University, further enhancing her understanding of how children learn and develop.
With five years of teaching experience at Panyaden International School, Kru Frame brings expertise, creativity, and warmth to her classroom. She is passionate about creating a nurturing environment where every child feels supported and inspired to explore, ask questions, and grow.
Recently, Kru Frame was awarded a prestigious scholarship to study as a master’s exchange student at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest, Hungary. Kru Timber hails from New Waterford, Ohio, USA. His name is Timothy Mercer, but he prefers the nickname "Timber." He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Youngstown State University and has an extensive and diverse teaching career.
Kru Timber began his journey at Nature’s Classroom, an outdoor education centre on the east coast of the USA, where he taught for three years. He then spent two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer, training fellow educators. Subsequently, he taught middle school for an additional six years in Kiribati, gaining valuable international experience. Timber later taught English to high school students at DARA Academy in Thailand for seven years.
Currently in his 12th year at Panyaden, Timber has experience in teaching Year 6, 7, and now Year 4 Panthers for five years. Apart from teaching, he enjoys activities such as swimming, archery, woodworking, and playing Dungeons and Dragons.
With a solid educational foundation and diverse experiences, Kru Timber brings a unique perspective (and plenty of joy!) to his teaching, benefiting his students. He is eagerly looking forward to another wonderful year at Panyaden.

Kru Ta brings over 23 years of teaching experience working with both kindergarten and primary school students, making him a deeply experienced and compassionate educator. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Science from Chandrakasem Rajabhat University in Bangkok, as well as a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.
Kru Ta’s passion for learning goes beyond the classroom. He has conducted academic research, including a thoughtful thesis on "Buddhist Educational Administration Guidelines in Chiang Mai Province." This research reflects his strong belief in integrating Buddhist values into education. Kru Yaara is from both Canada and South Africa and grew up attending international schools in Bahrain, Canada and Dubai. Her global upbringing has shaped her passion for inclusive, inquiry-driven education. She began her teaching career in England at Chiltern Way Academy, a specialist school for students with learning and behavioural needs, which led her to pursue a Master of Education focused on using the arts to support emotional self-regulation in children with ADHD.
Before joining Panyaden, Kru Yaara taught at an IB international school in Chiang Mai, guiding students through year-long, inquiry-based projects connected to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These units encouraged practical action and deepened students’ connection to global issues.
Now in her third year at Panyaden, she brings creative energy and a student-centred mindset to the Year 5 team. As a Year 5 Maths Specialist, she draws inspiration from Stanford University’s Mathematical Mindsets, Building Thinking Classrooms, and educators like Cath Murdoch and Trevor Mackenzie. Kru Andrew is a dedicated educator from South Africa, now in his second year teaching at Panyaden International School. With over a decade of teaching experience, Kru Andrew is committed to nurturing the whole child—intellectually, socially, emotionally and ethically. Since 2011, Kru William has taught in international schools in Mongolia, Uganda, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan. His experiences living and teaching in these diverse places have shaped his deep respect for different cultures and learning styles. He is a licensed teacher from the U.S., holds a Master’s in Education from the University of Texas, and a Bachelor’s degree from Rhodes College.
Kru William has a love for maths and inquiry-based learning. He’s currently writing a book for Routledge | Taylor & Francis titled The Inquiry Math Classroom: Growing Confidence and Bringing Equity to K–8 Settings. His approach focuses on helping students build confidence and find joy in learning through curiosity and exploration. He feels closely aligned with Panyaden’s values, especially its focus on nurturing the whole child academically, emotionally and mindfully. He believes every child should feel seen, supported and empowered to lead their own learning journey.

Kru Mon brings a unique blend of science expertise and cultural passion to her teaching. She holds a Bachelor of Education in Science (Chemistry) from Thaksin University and a Master of Education in Teaching English from Chiang Mai University. Before stepping into education, she worked as a medical scientist, and she also spent time as a visiting scholar at the University of Vermont in the USA, where she shared her love of Thai culture with American students.
With over two decades of teaching experience—fourteen years in a private school and ten years in international schools in Chiang Mai—Kru Mon has developed a deep passion for both Science and the Thai language. She enjoys making these subjects come alive in the classroom, inspiring students to explore and appreciate the world around them.
Outside of school, Kru Mon is a dedicated plant enthusiast, especially fond of collecting Caladium Bicolour. She finds joy and peace in nurturing nature’s beauty. For over a decade, Kru Sebastian has worked in a range of teaching roles across private and international schools in Southeast Asia. His experience spans kindergarten to secondary levels, in both homeroom and EAL positions. He has been part of the Panyaden community for several years.
Kru Sebastian has a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. He is especially interested in how language learning connects to identity and self-expression, and how students can grow in confidence when given the right tools and support. He enjoys working in schools like Panyaden, where students from many backgrounds learn together through curiosity, values, and care.
Kru Sebastian values the opportunities that international schools offer to learn from a global community of colleagues and students. He believes that effective teaching is best supported by a constant process of learning, shaped by collaboration, reflection, and the shared experiences of a diverse school community. Outside of the classroom, Kru Sebastian enjoys making music, learning new languages, reading about philosophy, and spending time in nature. Kru Kara brings over sixteen years of experience teaching primary students from Year 2 to Year 6 in diverse classrooms across Seattle, Cambodia, China, and Jordan. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Whitworth University and is passionate about creating supportive, inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive.
Her experience with English language learners sparked a deep interest in how children acquire language—especially when navigating multiple languages at once. This led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from The College of New Jersey in 2018. She continues to enjoy learning and applying new strategies to support students' language and literacy development.
Kru Kara values collaboration and loves working closely with fellow educators to tailor learning to the unique needs of each child. She believes that strong relationships, meaningful learning, and joyful curiosity are at the heart of a great education.

Illya Razif

Primary Performing Arts Teacher
Kru Illya brings a wealth of experience to her role as a performing arts teacher, having taught drama in various countries including Vietnam, Nepal, Cambodia, Germany, Senegal, and China. She is an artist-in-residence with the International Schools Theatre Association (ISTA), specialising in Southeast Asian shadow puppetry. She is also an author of two graphic novels and a book on teaching empathy through poetry. Currently, Kru Illya is pursuing her PhD on female puppeteers in Wayang Kulit or Nang Talung, a traditional form of shadow puppetry in this region.
As a teacher, she encourages students to take agency in producing their own shows and to be proud of their creative journey. She is passionate about introducing traditional arts to young people, especially art forms that are endangered. Preserving them is important not only to keep cultural heritage alive, but also to expand children’s imagination and their respect for different cultures. These are values that help shape more compassionate and curious people.
Kru Illya loves insects, baking, and working out. Beyond her teaching commitments, she is the founder of Empathy for Youth Academy, a virtual school that teaches emotional literacy and empathy through the arts.

Kru Katie’s passion for cultures and education was sparked during a study abroad experience on Australia’s Sunshine Coast, where she was immersed in a vibrant international community. Inspired to live and teach abroad, she earned dual degrees in Early Childhood and Special Education from Millersville University in Pennsylvania, USA, and began her career at an international school in Sweden. This experience deepened her commitment to celebrating diversity and building inclusive learning environments.
Back in Pennsylvania, she worked as a learning support teacher, gaining expertise in supporting students with diverse needs and helping struggling learners discover their strengths. She later completed a Master’s in Education with a focus on Social Emotional Learning, reinforcing her belief that children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and supported.

Kru Nora’s educational journey is both inspiring and unique. She began by studying Industrial Design at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in Bangkok. Eager to deepen her understanding of learners, she moved to the United States to study Psychology, where she gained valuable experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. It was during this time that she learned American Sign Language and developed a heartfelt passion for inclusive education.
Driven by her dedication to support neurodivergent learners, Kru Nora pursued a Master’s degree in Special Education. She focuses on creating inclusive, play-based learning environments that celebrate the diverse strengths of every child. Her wide range of strategies helps her support students with varied learning profiles, making education accessible and engaging for all.

With nearly a decade of experience as a counselling psychologist and seven years as a school counsellor, Kru Sridevi brings deep expertise and heartfelt dedication to her work with children and families. She holds an MSc in Counselling Psychology and an MPhil in Psychology from the University of Madras, India, and is a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) as well as an Associate Member of the American Psychological Association.
Kru Sridevi has worked across diverse school systems and communities, always adapting her approach to meet each child’s unique emotional and developmental needs. She is especially passionate about empowering young people to build resilience, empathy and a strong sense of self. Her support extends beyond students as she works closely with parents, caregivers and staff to foster a connected, compassionate school community. Having supported children from a wide range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, she brings a thoughtful, inclusive perspective to her counselling work.

Originally from Fredericton, a small city on Canada’s east coast, Kru Peter began his teaching journey in South Korea, first as a middle school EAL teacher and later as a teacher trainer. After moving to Thailand, he spent three years as the Year 4 Jaguars homeroom teacher at Panyaden before stepping into his current role as Primary Librarian.
Peter is passionate about nurturing a love of reading and helping children find books that truly spark their interest. He also enjoys guiding students to use technology thoughtfully and critically—skills he believes are essential in today’s world. At Panyaden, he has played a key role in shaping library and technology policies, developing a makerspace, and supporting the Student Council.
His professional interests include ethical technology use, media literacy, and the impact of tools like social media and AI on education. He recently completed a Master’s in Educational Technology and School Library Media.
Outside of school, Peter enjoys reading, making pottery, and watching or playing hockey. He lives in Chiang Mai with his wife and their curious, joyful son, who is now part of Panyaden’s Early Years.

Primary Librarian
Kru Tee is a lifelong learner who loves books, storytelling, and working with children. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in General Management from Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, a Professional Teaching Certificate from Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, and a Chinese Language Proficiency Certificate from Beijing Language and Culture University.
With over 17 years of experience in international schools in both Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Kru Tee has worked as a school secretary and a Chinese language teacher. She enjoys using stories, creativity, and joyful activities to support children’s learning.
In 2024–2025, she joined a Picture Book Creation Workshop and a writing workshop led by well-known Thai children’s book authors. In 2022 she also earned a cataloging certificate from the Australian Library and Information Association, deepening her love for books and libraries.
Today, Kru Tee brings her love of books and learning to Panyaden. She is excited to help children grow with creativity, kindness, and confidence in a space filled with stories and smiles.

Kru Or graduated with honours in Fine Arts from Chiang Mai University and further enhanced her expertise by earning a Graduate Teaching Diploma from Far Eastern University. For over ten years, she has been a beloved Art teacher at Panyaden, where her warm, vibrant personality and gentle humour create a welcoming space that encourages children to explore and express their creativity freely.
With extensive experience teaching primary school students, Kru Or understands how to nurture each child’s unique artistic voice. She also leads weekend art workshops, providing additional opportunities for children to dive deeper into their passion for art in a relaxed and inspiring environment.

Kru Tee studied Political Science at Ramkhamhaeng University but has always followed his true passion—music. An accomplished guitarist, his musical journey began in school orchestras and continued through university, eventually leading to a 15-year professional career in Bangkok. Originally from a picturesque village in the Austrian Alps, Kru Christine brings a rich blend of experience, warmth, and academic strength to her roles as Secondary School Vice Principal and Student Support Coordinator at Panyaden. She holds teaching qualifications from both Austria and the UK, a Master’s in English Literature, and additional certifications in English language teaching and international school leadership. She is also an IB Diploma Programme Examiner for English B.
Kru Christine’s teaching journey has taken her across Austria, the UK, India, Japan, China, and the Philippines. Kru Aaron is both an engineer and a passionate science teacher, specializing in Chemistry and Physics. After studying Bioengineering, he worked as a research and development engineer in the automotive industry before discovering his love for teaching. He started his teaching journey at a high school in Miami, Florida, where he dedicated himself to inspiring underprivileged students.
In 2008, he began teaching internationally in Dujiangyan, China, just after the region was affected by the Wenchuan Earthquake. He then returned to the U.S. to teach science in Wyoming, near the stunning Grand Teton and Yellowstone. He also taught at a Pre-professional School for the Arts in California before moving back to China in 2017, and has worked in both Santa Barbara and Maui as well.
Growing up in Portland, Oregon, Kru Aaron loved camping and hiking in the mountains. His year as an exchange student in Portugal sparked his passion for learning about different cultures. In his free time, he enjoys music, cooking, hiking, and spending quality time with his wife and dog.

Middle School Counsellor and Life Skills Teacher
Originally from Sydney, Australia, Kru Alan began his professional life in the finance sector, building on degrees in Psychology, Philosophy (Hons), and a Master of Legal Studies. But it wasn’t until he stepped into a classroom in 2008 that he discovered his true calling—teaching. After earning his teaching diploma, he spent 12 years in China and Thailand teaching Psychology, Theory of Knowledge (ToK), and English.
Over time, Alan found himself increasingly drawn to supporting students’ social and emotional wellbeing. This passion led him to complete a diploma in counselling and return to Australia in 2020 to work as a school counsellor across three different schools, gaining valuable experience with a range of student needs and challenges.
Now back overseas, Alan is excited to continue this journey at Panyaden. His counselling approach blends Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with Expressive Therapies, helping students build self-awareness, emotional flexibility, and resilience. He believes that nurturing mental wellbeing is key to helping young people thrive—both in school and in an ever-changing world.

During her first 14 years in Colombia, Kru Ali supported the emotional healing of victims of armed conflict and promoted peaceful coexistence in schools, deepening her appreciation for the transformative power of education. Five years ago, she discovered a passion for language teaching and trained in Spanish as a foreign language. Since then, she has helped students develop their Spanish skills with confidence and joy. Now in her second year at Panyaden, she teaches Spanish Ab Initio to Year 12 and 13 students in the IB Diploma Programme, making language learning meaningful and engaging while fostering intercultural understanding and curiosity.
Her knowledge of educational processes and love for Latin American culture have evolved into a strong desire to share the region’s rich cultural heritage – its biodiversity, food, music, languages, and traditions - with her students. Originally from Washington State, USA, Kru Amy is a passionate and experienced visual arts educator. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Western Washington University and a Master’s degree from SUNY Buffalo State. Her teaching journey began in inclusive high school and middle school classrooms across Washington, where she taught for 14 years before taking her love for teaching abroad.
With international experience in Kuwait, China, Vietnam, Germany, Portugal, Singapore, and the U.S., Kru Amy brings a rich global perspective to her role as Secondary Visual Arts teacher at Panyaden. Now in her second year at the school, she continues to create a welcoming, creative space where students feel empowered to express themselves through art.
She has taught across a wide range of curricula, including IBDP, IBMYP, IMYC, AP, and IGCSE, and works with both 2D and 3D media. Her student-centred approach nurtures both skill and confidence, encouraging students to explore their creativity with curiosity and courage.

Kru Blair brings a wealth of international experience to his role, having taught learners of all ages, from primary years to the IB Diploma Programme. His teaching journey began at an independent school in Toronto, Canada, followed by six years in Zurich, Switzerland. He then served as a curriculum leader in Bali and spent eight years at a leading international school in Hong Kong, teaching across all three IB programmes. He has also worked in alternative and adult education in Kingston, Canada.
With a degree in Physical & Health Education and a Master’s focused on the impact of technology in learning, Kru Blair blends academic rigour with real-world relevance. He especially enjoys teaching science, mathematics, environmental studies, and PE, and loves leading hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he’s passionate about coaching—particularly volleyball—and promoting student wellness.
Kru Blair is proud to be part of the Panyaden community, where Buddhist values, ecological awareness, and Thai culture are deeply woven into education. Kru Duffy has worked in international education since 2006, with teaching and leadership roles in Thailand, Indonesia, and Angola. His diverse experience spans Literature, TOK, Design, and Media Studies, and he has also served as a Technology Learning Coach and Digital Learning Coordinator. A consistent thread through his work is a passion for technology integration, media literacy, and fostering creativity across the curriculum.
Kru Duffy is especially interested in how the media shapes identity, communication, and community. He has led school-wide initiatives including the creation of digital skills frameworks, redevelopment of media spaces, and the introduction of AI-enhanced learning tools. His classroom is a space where curiosity, care, and creativity thrive.
With academic roots in Music and Literature—and a soft spot for science fiction—Kru Duffy loves helping students explore their unique voices and think critically about the world around them.

David Quesada Aznar

Born and raised in the vibrant Mediterranean city of Barcelona, Spain, Kru David began his career in environmental conservation after earning a degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on chemistry. But it was his passion for people and learning that led him into education—an adventure that’s taken him from his hometown to classrooms in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and the British Virgin Islands.
Over the years, Kru David has taught a wide range of subjects, including Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Technology, to both Middle and High School students. He has also trained primary teachers, developed digital learning tools, and adapted international curricula to suit local educational standards. His professional experience extends beyond academics, including work with youth at risk of social exclusion and leading community-based projects.
At the heart of his teaching is a belief that education should be dynamic, inclusive, and inspiring. He brings this same energy to coaching ultimate frisbee, a sport he’s loved and shared for over a decade. Outside of school, he enjoys exploring remote places, collecting vinyl records, and attending live music events.
Gregory Haywood

Kru Greg began his teaching journey in Busan, South Korea, as an ESL teacher before returning to Thailand to teach Mathematics at Assumption School Samrong. After a break to explore entrepreneurial passions—running a restaurant, managing a guesthouse, and hosting music events in Laos—his love for education brought him back to the classroom.
In 2015, he earned his teaching qualification in the UK and went on to teach at international schools in Myanmar and Dubai. In 2020, he settled in Chiang Mai, spending five years at APIS before joining the Panyaden community in 2025.
Greg is fascinated by sacred geometry and the mathematical patterns found in nature. He strives to create a classroom where students feel confident exploring big ideas, asking questions, and learning through discovery. He blends inquiry-based, project-based, and problem-solving approaches to spark curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep love of learning.
Outside the classroom, Greg coaches football, runs a maths club, and supports the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. He also enjoys yoga, swimming, cycling, and sharing his passion for music as a DJ.

Mandarin Language Teacher
Kru Amy is originally from Taiwan. She is a dedicated Mandarin teacher with a strong passion for language education and cross-cultural learning. Kru Amy became certified in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language in 2007 and has since gained extensive teaching experience in international schools across Asia, including the United Nations International School (UNIS) in Hanoi, Vietnam, and Garden International School in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Kru Amy joined Panyaden International School in 2019. She teaches IBDP Mandarin and high school Mandarin acquisition programmes. She is known for creating a positive and supportive classroom environment that nurtures student growth and motivation. Her lessons often incorporate elements of Chinese culture from an international perspective, helping students make meaningful connections between language, identity, and global citizenship.
In 2025, Kru Amy completed her Master’s degree in Education at Keele University in the United Kingdom. This academic journey deepened her understanding of language acquisition, curriculum design, and inclusive teaching practices, further strengthening her commitment to lifelong learning, both for herself and her students.
Beyond the classroom, Kru Amy leads an active lifestyle. She enjoys practising yoga, hiking, rock climbing, playing badminton, and scuba diving. These passions reflect her belief in balance, well-being, and a curious approach to life — values she brings into her teaching every day.

Kru Jonathon was born to British and American parents and raised in London, where his multicultural background sparked a lifelong passion for language, communication, and education. He holds a BA in Languages, a UK teaching qualification in Secondary English, and is currently completing a Master’s in Education. His career began in international journalism, where he honed skills in storytelling, critical inquiry, and cross-cultural communication—tools he now brings into the classroom.
For the past decade, Kru Jonathon has taught in international schools, working with students from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. His focus is on English as both a first and additional language, using literature not just to teach reading and writing, but to nurture empathy, creativity, and global awareness.

Kru Joe, originally from Wisconsin, USA, brings 19 years of diverse teaching experience in English, Social Studies, and elementary education. He began his career in Southern California and has since taught in Colorado, Missouri, and Kansas before joining Panyaden. He holds a BA in English Literature from The Colorado College and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri–Kansas City.
Kru Joe is passionate about creating meaningful, student-centered learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness. He believes in helping students make real-world connections through hands-on projects and inquiry-based learning. At Panyaden, he serves as the advisor for the Model United Nations Club, guiding students in diplomacy, debate, and global current events.
In addition to his classroom work, Kru Joe has led outdoor education programs, coached youth sports, and supported at-risk youth through nature-based learning experiences. He values holistic education that nurtures both academic growth and social-emotional development.

Junho Lee

Kru Wes was born in Seoul, South Korea, near the beautiful Bukhansan National Park. His childhood was shaped by international experiences, living in India and Bolivia, where he discovered music’s unique ability to connect people across cultures. These early experiences inspired his lifelong dream of becoming a music educator.
With a special focus on early Western classical music, Kru Wes brings a rich and diverse musical background to the classroom. He plays both cello and double bass, and holds a deep admiration for composers like J.S. Bach, Jean-Baptiste Lully, and Benedetto Marcello. While studying at the University of Utah, he was an active member of the Early Music Ensemble and took part in festivals and workshops that deepened his passion for historical performance.

Kru Linda, originally from Montréal, Canada, brings a deep love of language, learning, and literature to her role as school librarian. Fluent in both English and French, she has worked as a librarian in six countries and five IB World Schools, developing rich, inclusive library programs that support inquiry, creativity, and academic growth. With a strong background in research support, Kru Linda enjoys helping students build the skills to become confident, independent learners and critical thinkers.
She is especially passionate about fostering a love of reading in children of all ages. Originally from South Africa, she began her teaching career in a government school, teaching Science and Maths before moving to an international school in Dubai, where she specialised in Mathematics. Now in her seventh year at Panyaden, she teaches Year 8 Science, Year 10 Pre-IB Science, and IB Biology for Years 12 and 13.
Known for her student-centred and hands-on approach, Kru Meriska aims to make science both accessible and inspiring. She encourages students to ask questions, think critically, and connect classroom learning with real-world environmental challenges. During an 8th grade field trip Kru Michele went to an inner city church where she was called to work with youth with a challenging upbringing. During college she worked with adults with mental illness and after graduating from college she worked with homeless youth for non-profit organizations for 8 years.
After years of seeing young people lose things in their life, she developed a passion for education because it can change people’s life and can not be taken away. She studied social studies education at University of Minnesota and taught US History, World History, Personal Finance and Geography to middle and high school students.
Once her daughter went to college, she was able to meet her lifelong dream of working internationally. She worked at Dalian American International School for three years, both as a teacher and a high school counselor,
It brings her joy and great meaning to be at Panyaden school as a high school counselor, guiding students to a great college fit and assisting in their social-emotional wellness emphasizing Buddhist values. In her personal time, she paints with acrylics and leads a transformative art journey for women to become confident in their inner knowing. She loves cycling, the outdoors and exploring.
Natsasipha Manosoi

Thai Language Teacher
Kru Nin has 15 years of teaching experience and a strong background in Thai language education. She began her career teaching Thai to foreign learners and then worked at several Thai schools in Chiang Mai. Later, she taught at an international school with an American curriculum, leading both Thai Intermediate and Advanced classes for primary and secondary students.
For the past six years, Kru Nin has been a Year 4 homeroom teacher at Panyaden International School. This year, she’s excited to step into a new role as a secondary Thai teacher, where she looks forward to supporting older students as they grow their language skills and cultural understanding.
She is particularly interested in the Literacy-Based Approach, which encourages students to enjoy reading and build strong literacy skills. She believes that when students see themselves as readers and writers, their confidence and language abilities flourish. She’s also exploring the Responsive Classroom approach, which fosters a kind, respectful, and joyful learning environment.

Owen Haywood

Service Learning Coordinator and Mathematics Teacher
Kru Owen’s teaching journey began in South Korea as an EAL teacher after completing a BSc in Mathematics at the University of Leeds. His love of learning and travel took him across Asia with his twin brother before he settled in Bangkok to teach Mathematics. A few years later, he ran a successful restaurant in Vang Vieng, Laos—an experience that deepened his appreciation for community, sustainability, and leadership.
Eager to return to education, Kru Owen earned his teaching qualification in the UK and went on to teach in Myanmar, China, Qatar, and Cambodia. He also holds a Master’s in Education for Sustainability, which reflects his passion for real-world, student-led learning.
At Panyaden, Kru Owen wears many hats—he teaches Year 7 Mathematics and coordinates both the House System and Service Learning. He’s committed to helping students connect their learning to meaningful action, encouraging empathy, responsibility, and global citizenship.

Kru Toey grew up in the heart of Chiang Mai, though she was born in Phichit. From an early age, she was captivated by the beauty, rhythm, and cultural richness of the Thai language. This passion led her to Chiang Mai University, where she earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s in Education, specializing in Thai language instruction.
With over 20 years of teaching experience—including more than a decade in international schools—Kru Toey has guided students from primary through high school. She also served as a Thai language lecturer at Chiang Mai University for four years. Now in her seventh year at Panyaden, she brings deep knowledge, creativity, and care to every lesson.
Kru Toey believes that language is not just a subject, but a powerful way to connect, reflect, and grow. She encourages students to explore the Thai language through stories, traditions, and values—helping them appreciate its beauty and cultural depth.

Kru Richard was born and raised on the south coast of England, where his love for sport and the outdoors took root early. Before becoming a teacher, he spent several years abroad, playing and coaching football in Australia and New Zealand, and working as a sports coach in the USA and Spain. These experiences deepened his understanding of how sport can build resilience, confidence, and strong connections across cultures.
Coming to teaching later in life, Kru Richard brings a wealth of real-world experience that shapes both his teaching and coaching. He sees Physical Education not just as a subject, but as a vital tool for nurturing lifelong health, teamwork, and emotional well-being. His lessons focus on more than just physical skills—they help students build confidence, develop leadership, and find joy in movement.

Kru Leslie originates from a rural village in northern China. She has studied and taught in Beijing for six years and in the Hong Kong–Shenzhen area for three years. These experiences have given her a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and educational practices. She has worked at respected institutions such as Fangcaodi International School in Beijing, Li Po Chun United World College in Hong Kong, and Shekou International School in Shenzhen.
With a background in Chinese Language and Literature and a Master's degree in Education, Kru Leslie is a certified IB DP educator, a government-qualified teacher in China, and completed her PGCE with iQTS certificate in June.
Coming from a family of educators, including her parents, sister, and aunt, she was inspired to pursue teaching from a young age. Her approach is shaped by creativity, cross-cultural understanding, and a strong sense of purpose.

Thai Language and Buddhist Education Teacher
Kru Yuyii is originally from Buriram in Thailand’s Northeastern region. From high school, she dreamed of becoming a teacher who not only shares knowledge but also inspires and truly understands her students. Passionate about nurturing global citizens, she studied Educational Psychology and Non-formal Education at Chulalongkorn University to explore innovative ways to support diverse learners.
After graduating, Kru Yuyii volunteered in Los Angeles, teaching Thai language and culture to Thai-American students and adults. This experience confirmed her love for teaching Thai language and culture. She then taught in Krabi for four years before joining Panyaden International School in 2023.
Beyond the classroom, Kru Yuyii’s heart beats for traditional Thai dance and Isaan music—a passion she’s embraced since childhood. She joyfully shares this with students, encouraging them to connect with Thai culture in creative and fun ways.
Kru Yuyii also values mindfulness and meditation, integrating these practices into her Buddhist Education classes. She inspires students to explore mindfulness in ways that resonate with them, helping them grow emotionally and spiritually in a supportive environment.
Tanawut Panyanant

With a background in anthropology and sociology, Kru Benz spent over four years as a researcher and editor before discovering his passion for teaching. He began his education career as a lecturer at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, where he taught courses such as Cultural Tourism and Learning and Problem-Solving Skills.
Now in his second year as a Thai Language and Literature teacher at Panyaden, Kru Benz brings an interdisciplinary lens to his classroom. He encourages students to think critically, explore cultural narratives, and connect literature to the world around them. Known for his creative approach and love of storytelling, he often uses short stories and Thai horror films to spark rich discussions about society, culture, and identity.
His literary research has been published in respected national journals, and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at Chulalongkorn University. His academic interests also include horror literature and video games as modern narrative forms.

Kru Taneisha grew up in Mumbai, India, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Management and Physical Education, followed by a Master’s in Physical Education from the University of Mumbai. She has over 10 years of experience teaching Physical and Health Education in Mumbai, Bahrain, and Singapore. This international experience has helped her develop a flexible and inclusive teaching style that supports students of all backgrounds and abilities.
She is passionate about helping children enjoy movement, build confidence, and develop healthy habits for life. She believes Physical Education is not just about sports, but also about teamwork, resilience, and having fun while staying active.
Kru Taneisha values the importance of balance between physical activity and mental wellbeing, and she incorporates mindfulness, cooperation, and personal goal-setting into her lessons. Theatre and IB Film Teacher
Kru Vineet is a passionate and imaginative educator with over 18 years of experience in theatre, film, and international education. Currently teaching Secondary Theatre and DP Film, he transforms classrooms into vibrant creative spaces where students discover storytelling, empathy, and self-expression.
Although he started in engineering, his true passion led him to the arts. After earning a Mechanical Engineering degree, Kru Vineet co-founded Edu Art Solutions LLP and United Arts Society, developing innovative arts programs for K–12 schools. Since then, he has written, directed, and produced many school productions, designed drama curricula, and led performing arts departments with a focus on creativity and collaboration.
As a DP Film teacher, he encourages students to explore the world through a cinematic lens, developing critical and creative thinking by studying film theory, history, and production. With a decade of IB MYP teaching and four years as MYP Coordinator, Kru Vineet has guided curriculum development, teacher training, and community engagement to foster holistic, interdisciplinary learning. He also serves as an IB MYP Examiner for Theatre and Interdisciplinary Learning.

Kru Vinita, originally from India, has been living in Bangalore for the past few years. She holds a PhD in Interactive Fiction, a unique field blending literature and technology. Throughout her teaching career, she has taught English and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and is deeply involved with the International Baccalaureate (IB) community as an IBEN member, examiner, and Workshop Leader. She also contributes to the IB TOK Curriculum Review Committee, helping shape the future of IB education.
At Panyaden, Kru Vinita serves as both the Middle School and IBDP Coordinator. She brings her passion for student-centered learning and innovative teaching approaches. She is dedicated to integrating student voices into assessments and curriculum design, ensuring education feels relevant and meaningful.
Kru Vinita is also an avid researcher, regularly presenting her work at international conferences and publishing in books and journals. Student Support Teaching Assistant
Kru Phicha brings over seven years of teaching experience to her role as a Student Support Teaching Assistant, including five years in international school settings. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and has pursued extensive training in counselling, earning Beginner, Senior, and Professional Advisor certifications. These qualifications are part of her ongoing journey toward becoming a qualified counsellor.
Phicha has worked with children of all ages—from toddlers to teens—giving her a deep understanding of child development and learning. She now focuses on supporting secondary students, helping them navigate both academic challenges and personal growth with care and empathy.
Her passion lies in student wellbeing. Drawing from her counselling background, she creates a safe and nurturing space where students feel heard, supported, and empowered. She believes in the importance of building confidence, resilience, and emotional awareness alongside academic success.
Phicha loves being part of a team that values the whole child. Her gentle, thoughtful approach helps students feel comfortable being themselves as they discover their strengths and move confidently toward their goals.

Social Studies Teacher and Buddhist Education Coordinator
Kru Max was born and raised in Denmark. His academic expertise lies in the fields of social science and the humanities, and he is eager to foster a love of learning about human societies and human nature in his students. With many years teaching experience in- and outside of classrooms in both Denmark and Canada, Kru Max has taught students of all ages in a variety of subjects.
Kru Max is delighted to be Panyaden’s Buddhist Education Coordinator and be part of developing this vital part of our beautiful school. Indeed, Kru Max highly values the Buddhist approach to teaching and learning – the development of not only intellectual and critical faculties but also self-reflection and self-awareness, emotional intelligence and the importance of ethical values. He recognizes that nurturing students' inner qualities, such as empathy, kindness, and self-awareness, is just as, or perhaps even more, important as imparting and developing academic knowledge.
Beyond meditating, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing music with friends, and he is a passionate basketball player who spends as much time as he can on basketball courts wherever he is in the world.
Bongkot Theppiman

Thai Language Coordinator and IB Thai Language and Literature Teacher
With over sixteen years of teaching experience, Kru Ying began her journey in international education right after university. Starting as a teaching assistant, she supported teachers from around the world and quickly developed a deep understanding of creating engaging, compassionate classrooms. Early on, she became a Thai Language and Culture teacher for non-Thai students, sparking a lifelong passion for sharing her culture.
At Panyaden, Kru Ying has taught across primary and secondary levels, playing a key role in developing the secondary curriculum and the IBDP Thai programme. She brings extensive expertise in Thai Language, Literature, and Acquisition, supporting students at many levels.
Kru Ying loves literature, especially philosophical novels and translated works from Japan and Latin America, seeing stories as windows into human nature and diverse cultures. She also enjoys exploring storytelling through film and visual media, weaving these into her teaching.
Through the IBDP, she inspires students to connect language, creativity, and critical thinking to their own lives. Kru Ying believes education should be meaningful, foster intercultural understanding, and encourage empathy and respect for diversity.

Kru John-Earle hails from Kingston, Jamaica, where he spent many years managing the Jamaican National Rugby Union Youth program. With a deep passion for youth welfare and development, he believes in the power of play and athletics to shape confident, resilient, and well-rounded young people.
For five years, Kru John-Earle worked as Lead Psychologist on a UNICEF-funded project that used sports to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, helping children grow not just physically but emotionally and socially as well. Before joining Panyaden, he served as both a School Counselor and Athletic Director in various schools, always focused on nurturing the whole child through a development-centered approach to athletics and extracurricular activities.
At Panyaden, Kru John-Earle is dedicated to enriching students’ lives beyond the classroom, guiding them through sports, clubs, and other hands-on experiences that promote teamwork, leadership, and personal growth. He believes these opportunities help students build skills and confidence that will serve them for life, empowering them to thrive both inside and outside school.
Nachaya Holsakool

Activities and Athletics Coordinator
Khun Oh was born in Lopburi and raised in Phitsanulok, with a deep passion for art that led her to earn both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Fine Arts, specializing in painting, from Chiang Mai University. With 16 years of teaching experience in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, she has developed a warm, patient, and creative approach to nurturing students’ artistic talents.
At Panyaden, Khun Oh spent five years as a Year 4 Teaching Assistant, where she supported students with kindness and encouragement. She has now joined the Activities and Athletics Department, bringing her love for the outdoors to support camping, trekking, and hiking programs. Khun Oh believes that outdoor experiences help children develop confidence, teamwork, and a sense of adventure.
Outside of school, Khun Oh enjoys hiking with friends, Zumba, and yoga. She is also passionate about healthy living and practices meditation daily to clear her mind and start each day with positivity and calm. Her holistic approach helps her inspire students to grow both creatively and personally.

Khun CJ, is from Chiang Mai, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts with a major in English from Mae Fah Luang University. Before joining Panyaden in 2022, she gained valuable teaching experience in Nong Khai and Chonburi, where she nurtured her love for helping students grow in confidence and language skills.
From her university days, Khun CJ has been passionate about organizing events and creating fun, meaningful experiences for students. This passion led her to become Panyaden’s Athletics and Activities Assistant, where she combines her teaching background, creativity, and strong organizational skills to build a vibrant school community.
Since joining Panyaden, Khun CJ has discovered a love for outdoor adventures like hiking, kayaking, and rafting, which she believes help students develop teamwork, resilience, and a connection to nature.

Science Laboratory Technician
Khun Fai has been a valued member of the Panyaden community since 2019. With a Bachelor of Science degree and over seven years of experience in international education, she brings both expertise and care to her role. Before joining Panyaden, she worked for four years as a senior laboratory technician at an international school in Bangkok, and later supported the science department at an IB school in Chiang Mai for three years.
At Panyaden, Khun Fai plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in making science come alive for students. She prepares and organizes lab equipment for experiments, ensures all materials meet the highest health and safety standards, and helps maintain a well-run, inspiring science environment. She works closely with teachers to support hands-on learning, from classroom experiments and assessments to field trips and special science activities.
Khun Fai is passionate about helping students explore the world through science, and her calm, friendly presence ensures each lesson runs smoothly, safely, and with curiosity at its heart.
