PRIMARY Years PROGRAMME

Primary Years (Years 1–6)
Age Range 5–11 Years
At this age, education is more than the acquisition of knowledge—it is a journey of purposeful growth.
Our Programme of Learning is designed to nurture academic excellence, emotional intelligence, spiritual awareness, and ethical understanding.
Each year level is guided by a set of bespoke themes that serve as a unifying framework from Year 1 to Year 6. These themes reflect our belief in the power of integrated learning to foster both intellectual and inner development. Children engage with each theme through age-appropriate, concept-based, interdisciplinary units of inquiry that spiral across the years—building depth, perspective, and purposeful learning.
Our curriculum draws from internationally recognised standards, including the English National Curriculum for English, Maths, History, Geography, Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE), Design Technology, Life Skills, Art, Performing Arts, and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for Science. These frameworks provide a solid foundation in subject-specific knowledge and skills, while our bespoke themes ensure that learning is always connected to big ideas and real-world relevance.
Each unit of inquiry integrates Literacy, Maths, History, Geography, Science, PSHE, Buddhist Education, and specialist subjects including Thai, Art, Music, PE, Drama, Life Skills, and Library. This encourages students to think holistically, make meaningful connections, and apply their understanding in flexible and creative ways.
Panyaden Unifying Themes
for the Programme of Learning

A Progressive, Purpose-Driven Learning Journey
In addition to the curriculum framework, each year level has a unifying theme which invites children to explore big ideas in developmentally appropriate ways:

Throughout the programme, learning is inquiry-driven and rooted in real-world application, drawing on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Good Life Goals to cultivate global citizenship and student agency. Opportunities for service learning, leadership, and reflection ensure that children are well-informed and also empowered to act with compassion and courage.
Grounded in research-backed practices and aligned with Panyaden’s Buddhist values, our unique Programme of Learning prepares students to meet the future with knowledge, wisdom, and purpose.
