Enjoy Being a Chef!

Being a chef is one of many jobs Y2 Grasshoppers students dream about.
When learning about careers, Anda’s mum, with Chef Bam and Chef Bie, made that dream come true.

Under the guidance of professional chefs, students made a bacon and vegetable sandwich.
They enthusiastically chose the vegetables they wanted, shaped and filled the fresh dough before baking it in the oven. Everyone enjoyed this fun baking lesson. Here’s what, the buns looked like.

Yummy!

Giving rice is the soul of alms giving

At Panyaden, we appreciated the value of rice as the soul of alms giving, a spoonful of rice would be deemed as meritorious to this event. A simple banana leave container, a respectful and mindful act of giving best describe this precious moment, shared by nursery to Y7 students, parents, and staff.

Venerable Ajahn Jayasaro’s and Venerable Ajahn Jiew’s blessing was followed by students presenting their understanding of the life of the Buddha and getting their burning questions answered.

Welcoming Our new friends from Woodgrove Secondary School Singapore

We were pleased to welcome new friends at Panyaden on November 7th, 2018. Woodgrove Secondary School, from Singapore, came to find out about the green aspect of our school as part of their sustainability study.

During the school tour, they learned about our British curriculum integrated with the International Primary Curriculum, IPC, for Year 1-6 and the International Middle Years Curriculum, IMPC, for Year 7. Moreover, they were encouraged to walk bare feet to experience how Panyaden students engage with the natural environment in daily life and practice mindfulness, one step at a time.

We found this event helped students to develop such important 21st century competencies as global awareness and cross-cultural skills and sensitivities. We want to thank Woodgrove Secondary School students and teachers for sharing useful information which we can utilise for our #SecondarySchool, opening in August 2019.
