Overcoming Physical and Mental Challenges

It was scary but we did it! Panyaden’s Year 7 students overcame a real physical and mental challenge at ‘Crazy Horse Buttress’ in Mae On District. For many, it was their first time rock climbing. What stood out was the camaraderie and encouragement between them as the students helped each other to overcome their fears. See more photos in Panyaden Y7 Field Trips on the School Blog gallery and on our Facebook page.

Panyaden Giving Week: Year 7 visits Agape Home Chiang Mai

Panyaden Giving Week 2017

Year 7 Visit to Agape Home

We have been blessed with many donations during our flood appeal efforts, now it’s time to give back to the community. As part of our Giving Week, Year 7 (Y7) students brought books to donate to Nikki’s Place Agape Home and to read to the children. The orphanage provides a home for children livning with AIDS/HIV in Chiang Mai. The following is a lovely note from the orphanage. Thank you, our students had a wonderful time too!

“On behalf of Agape Home, I would like to thank you for your visit to our Home yesterday. The kindergarten children enjoyed the stories and loved interacting with your students. The books you have given us are both beautiful and very useful…Your students were delightful, capable and friendly.” – Dianne Wilson, International Volunteer Coordinator.

Panyaden Life Skills Class

Panyaden Life Skills class- Y6 and 7 students rice harvesting

Life Skills Class

Our rice plants have thrived despite the October flash floods. Year 6/7 Life Skills class is back to help harvest the crops, a great way to learn first-hand about the life of a rice farmer, to learn practical skills and work as a team. See more photos of the activity here in our school blog gallery and our Facebook page.

Panyaden’s Life Skills programme engages our students in interactive learning such as sustainable living, useful traditional know-how and crafts as well as outdoor survival skills. It also gives students practical opportunities to acquire valuable life skills lessons and essential personal qualities that can be applied to many different areas of their lives. Find out more about the programme on our website’s curriculum page.

Father’s Day at Panyaden

Father's Day 2017 celebrations at Panyaden

Happy Father’s Day!

Panyaden celebrates Father’s Day 2017

We love Dad! Today on Thailand’s Father’s Day, we remember the birth of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and express our thanks and gratitude to all our granddads, dads, brothers, uncles and other important father figures in our lives. Some of our dads dropped by Panyaden yesterday to lead our little ones from Early Years in science, art and other fun activities including how to skateboard safely while our Primary student representatives dedicated heartfelt essays to fathers. Thank you also to the school band for your music tributes and to the staff who put up a lovely display of father-child photos contributed by our parents. Happy Father’s Day!
