Emma Saw, the runner-up of Miss Teen Thailand 2016, visited Panyaden’s temporary campus with donations she received from people during a 3-day fundraising walk around Krabi and Phuket. Emma is from Lanna International School; she came up with this idea of a ‘walking fundraiser’ to help our flood relief and made the donation box herself. Thank you so much, Emma, for your hard work, generosity and initiative! We are also grateful to the locals of Phuket and Krabi – vendors, taxi drivers and security guards – who, Emma says, were happy to give even though they might not have much.
According to the school’s Wise Habit ‘Caga’, ‘a mind expanded by generosity is better able to generate the effort and motivation needed to take on the tribulations of life’. Equally, as receivers of this incredible generosity, the school is more motivated than ever to give back to society an education that has kindness and compassion at its heart.
