Panyaden School is situated in the south of Chiang Mai.
The school philosophy is based on Buddhist principles integrated with a modern curriculum, resulting in a holistic education. Our goal is that students who pass Prathom 6 (Year 7) will not only have internationally competitive reading, writing, mathematics and science skills, but are also equipped with skills and knowledge for sustainable living, such as how to grow rice, repair clothes, use essential tools and understand the importance of social responsibility.
The school itself shows the way by being environmentally conscious and including sustainable green practices in its everyday life. The school is situated in a beautiful fruit orchard and designed in harmony with its surroundings producing an atmosphere that inspires learning and insightfulness.
Panyaden is a private school that will accommodate 375 students. Our students will be our ambassadors to introduce green living into the lives of their communities.
The students will be supervised by well trained Thai and native English speaking teachers. Additionally we will invite experts in creative arts and traditional wisdom such as painters, musicians, specialists in local agricultural methods, in cloth weaving and northern cuisine. All members of the school team, from teachers to administrators and support staff, will incorporate Buddhist principles into their daily lives using common sense. In this way our students can see and follow the path.
The whole school is built from earth and bamboo that has been treated to both withstand and complement the elements. Organic vegetables and rice will be grown on the school property. Waste water is treated and biogas produced. This will be an environmentally friendly school with an insignificant carbon footprint.
