Finishing Touches

There are only 2 days to Panyaden School’s first Open House Day on 28 November. Different groups of people are now on the site to prepare for this big day and final details are being added to various salas and buildings.

Under the shade is the well-respected art department from Phenomena (Bangkok). They are crafting the Panyaden School sign out of wood; building a temporary roof for the exhibition hall; making cards for educational games to entertain the children visitors, and preparing photos and information for display.

The exhibition will showcase Panyaden School’s concept and core principles. Visitors will also learn about the curriculum, the admission requirements and boarding house. Kru Maggie, the Principal, and the teachers will be on hand to answer any questions parents may have.

Another team is now busily preparing for the Mini-Walk Rally around the School. Visitors can walk through and see for themselves the amazing designs and functionality of the buildings and salas painstakingly built with natural materials such as the first nursery/kindergarten, the Parents’ Sala and the Main Assembly Hall.

Final touches are being added to these buildings. The team of local wood craftsmen are refining the doors and windows; other workers are triple checking and doing the final touch-ups to the walls and floors. Yet others are placing flowers and plants that will adorn the walkways and the buildings. Elsewhere, teams of electricians are carefully wiring up the site and ensuring that all lamps and fans are working well.

Those parents who are concerned about environmental management such as the treatment of waste water and food will also see that these plants have been installed and are ready to go. In the meantime, work continues on the rest of buildings (Phase II of the construction). The foundation for the swimming pool has been laid, trusses are being put together for the second kindergarten and so on.

Visitors to our Open House Day will definitely go away with a good sense of how Panyaden School will look like when the construction is completely finished. More important than that, come see for yourselves and understand the holistic education that Thailand’s first Buddhist bi-lingual School can offer your children.

Finally, a big “Thank You” to all who have been, and are continually working to make Panyaden School a reality.
